Camping Sustainability – Nurturing Culture for Future Leaders

Camping Sustainability – Nurturing Culture for Future Leaders

Sustainability is defined as “using a resource so that the resource is not depleted or permanently damaged.” Sustainability does not only refer to the context of wilderness and ecological balance; but also in the context of our social attitude, actions and culture of living that builds one person or a society. The future of wilderness camping, hikes and other sustainable outdoor recreation depends so much on people’s attitude.

It is our responsibility to nourish the positive way of life, practices, attitudes and THE CULTURE through language, activities, institutions and arts. Through camping and adventure, children learn about responsibility, teamwork, leadership skill, enhance communication and self-awareness, boost confidence level amongst peers and their character within the broader community. They also learn to adopt sustainable behavior towards the environment.

Through this congress, we really a good networking and knowledge exchange with the world camping community will positively highlight the importance of culture in building a sustainable development for our future generation.

Future Leaders

Our children and our youths are our most valuable resources. They are our FUTURE LEADERS.

Teach them the knowledge and wisdom they need to know for them to use in all aspects of life.

What we give them today shapes our tomorrow.
